Cimento is our estate wine brand, and 100% of our grapes are farmed in our own vineyards.  The best wines in the world are most often from single vineyards, specifically estate-grown. 

When winemakers work with fruit from a single site and a single vintage, they create time capsules of the fingerprint of the vintage from that specific spot on the planet through the lens of the winemaker. It’s a true test of talent.  There is no hiding, no safety net, and zero margin for error. 

In a recent Wine Spectator article, “The World’s Greatest Vineyards,” they say, “terroir withstands the test of time. And it’s the way in which the best wines on earth speak of a specific site that keeps us coming back for more.” The best vineyards in the world “truly stand apart—places that have unique soils and special microclimates that define the wines, but also those with a documented history of excellence.” We have chosen sites with unique soils and microclimates like nowhere else on Earth.  Our challenge with Cimento is to now build a history of excellence.
