The wine has a range of clonal selections as well as multiple rootstock and training methods at this site. This is wonderfully pure, showing a light stony essence as well as bright red fruits with citrus rind, blood orange zest, charcuterie and stony minerals. The first harvest from this new estate vineyard for Cimento

The second vintage and a barrel sample, the 2023 Grenache Orselli Vineyard blends 85% Grenache with 6% Carignan, 4% Syrah, 3% Mourvèdre, and 2% Cinsault from a site planted between 2018 and 2020 to 8×8 spacing, allowing air to flow through the site. After concrete fermentation, the wine is aged 16 months in 5% new French oak. Deliciously dense layers of baked fruit, spice, and lavender highlight a core of supple texture and medium-bodied intensity, the wine thoroughly well-balanced, complex, and showing the ability to age 15 years if not more. Only 133 cases were made.
